The Culture of a Health Care Organization and Its Influence on Managers´ Performance Evaluation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá organizační kulturou a manažery ve zdravotnictví. Těžiště práce tvoří kvalitativní průzkumné šetření. Na základě rozhovorů se zaměstnanci nestátní zdravotnické instituce je popsána obecná kultura vytvářená jejími manažery ošetřovatelké péče. Jako základ zkoumání je využitý Pitrův model "7S``. Pozornost je věnována schopnostem manažerů, stylu vedení a spolupráci, jež jsou podstatné pro utváření vztahů se zaměstnanci, a tím i žádoucí kultury v instituci. Práce je příspěvkem pro manažery, kteří mohou na základě informací o tom, jak je jejich práce a chování vnímáno ostatními členy týmu, zvýšit kvalitu vlastní práce, a tím celé instituce do budoucna

Abstract:

The thesis is concerned with organizational culture and managers in health service. The main part of the work comprises a qualitative survey. Based on interviews with employees of a non-governmental health institution, the general culture created by its managers of the nursing care is described. The observation utilizes the so-called ``7S" Pitr's model. Attention is paid to the managers' abilities, way of leading and cooperation which are important for establishing relationships with employees and thus for desired culture in the institution. The work is beneficial for managers who can use the information on how their work and behavior are perceived by other team members to improve both their and the institution's performance in the future
