Jünger between Heidegger and Patočka

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem techniky od průmyslové revoluce do 1. světové války. Snaží se ukázat vliv techniky na změnu způsobu vedení války a její nejpodstatnější část je věnována Ernstu Jüngerovi, Martinu Heideggerovi a Janu Patočkovi. Každý z těchto myslitelů 20. století má na techniku svůj vlastní názor. Ernst Jünger přináší výklad Friedricha Nietzscheho společně se zážitky z front 1. světové války. Martin Heidegger je Jüngerem velmi ovlivněn, ale až kategoricky s ním nesouhlasí a rozšiřuje jeho myšlenky z filozofické stránky. Posledním myslitelem je český filozof Jan Patočka, který přejímá postoj Heideggera, ale nahrazuje jeho nihilistický postoj silami dne. Cílem práce je vyložit myšlenky Jüngera, Heideggera, Patočky a vzájemně je porovnat. V neposlední řadě práce ukazuje postoj autora a dnešní generace k technice.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the development of technology from the Industrial Revolution to the World War I. It shows the influence of technology on the changing way of warfare and its most important part is dedicated to Ernst Jünger, Martin Heidegger and Jan Patočka. Each of these thinkers from the 20th century has their own opinion about technology. Ernst Jünger brings the interpretation of Friedrich Nietsze together with the experiences from the front of World War I. Martin Heidegger is greatly influenced by Jünger, however he categorically disagrees with him and expands his thoughts on the philosophical level. The last thinker is the Czech philosopher Jan Patočka, who takes over the position of Heidegger. He replaces his nihilistic attitude by so called ?forces of the day?. The aim of my thesis is to interpret the ideas of Jünger, Heidegger and Patočka and to compare them with one another. Finally, the work develops the attitude of the author and nowadays' generation to technology.
