Inventory Accounting in a Selected Company

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Účtování o zásobách ve vybrané společnosti“ je analýza účtování o zásobách ve vybrané společnosti a na jejím základě identifikace možného prostoru pro zjednodušení či zefektivnění účtování o zásobách a návrh dalších možných zlepšení v dané oblasti. Teoreticky je vymezena příslušná legislativa, poznatky účetních postupů a specifika účetnictví zemědělských podniků. Následně je vysvětleno zaúčtování typických činností společnosti a popsány rozdíly mezi dvěma možnými způsoby účtování zásob. V závěru práce jsou obě metody porovnány vzhledem k účetním výkazům a administrativní náročnosti a je doporučen postup pro zlepšení vedení a účtování zásob.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “Inventory Accounting in a Selected Company” is to analyze accounting methods for inventory in a selected company and based on the outcome of the analysis to identify possibilities for more effective or easier inventory accounting methods and further propositions for other upgrades within the topics. The relevant Czech legislation, knowledge of accounting processes and specific accounting methods of agricultural companies are defined on theoretical basis. Secondly, there are explained typical accounting processes within the company and differences between two possible accounting strategies of accounting inventory. In the conclusion both methods are compared based on financial statements and administrative levels. Last but not least suggestions are made in order to improve the inventory management and accounting.
