The importance of pedagogical education for driving instructors

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je přínos pedagogického vzdělání pro učitele autoškol. Ačkoliv výuka v autoškolách přímo nenavazuje na výchovně-vzdělávací proces, teoretická část předkládá argumenty odborníků, které prokazují, že o školství se jedná, a to se všemi náležitostmi a požadavky na učitelovy kompetence, přípravu, vystupování a přístup k žákům. Dále práce porovnává systém přípravy učitelů v ČR se stavem v zahraničí. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, zda současné vzdělání učitelů autoškol je dostatečné pro kvalitní výuku a výcvik, zda mohou zkušenosti vzdělání nahradit a zda by vyšší vzdělání přispělo ke zkvalitnění výuky. Data byla získána empirickým šetřením prostřednictvím anonymního dotazníku. Respondenty byli učitelé autoškol a zkušební komisaři, aby vzorek reprezentoval odbornou veřejnost, která má k dané problematice nejužší vztah.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the contribution of pedagogic education for driving instructors. Although training in driving schools is not directly connected to educational process, the theoretical part of the thesis presents arguments of experts demonstrating that driving schools should be considered as a part of educational process. The reasoning is that training in driving schools requires the same pedagogic competencies, training, behaviour and approach to learners. Furthermore, the thesis compares the system of teacher training in the Czech Republic with the situation abroad. The aims of the practical part are to ascertain whether the current education of driving instructors is sufficient for providing quality training, whether experience can replace education, and whether higher education would contribute to improvement of teaching in driving schools. An empirical research was conducted and data was obtained by anonymous questionnaire survey. Respondents were driving instructors and examiners, so that the sample represents the professional community that is most interested in the researched topic.
