Předmětem této bakalářské práce “Družstevnictví a svépomoc” je popsat specifické principy a rozdíly v motivech zakládání a fungování družstev v jednotlivých etapách české společnosti. Práce nejprve mapuje historické kořeny družstevnictví a svépomoci a to především v zahraničí, dále představuje přístupy a motivy zakládání družstev zejména na území dnešní České republiky.
