Qualitative analysis of selected psychological context of educational games

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na problematiku tendence k leadershipu u lektorů edukačních her typu edu-larp (educational live action role-playing) a současně na druhy motivace lektorů. Na základě kvalitativní analýzy rozhovorů s lektory edu-larpů byly rozebrány dvě oblasti motivace (motivace lektorů pro edu-larpy a motivace lektorů pro práci s dětmi). Výzkumný soubor tvořilo jedenáct lektorů edu-larpů ze spolku EduLudus, z. s. ve věku 20-25 let. Studie není zakotvena v žádném teoretickém stanovisku a analýza výzkumných dat byla provedena pomocí tematické analýzy (thematic analysis). Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že zjištěné druhy motivací u lektorů korespondují především s hodnotovými a zájmovými druhy motivů, které jsou charakteristické pro časnou dospělost. Výsledky ukazují, že tendence k leadershipu u lektorů jsou závislé na zastávané funkci nebo hrané roli, které ovlivňuje i autorita. Oproti tendenci k vůdcovství se však objevuje především prvek průvodcovství.

Abstract:

This work focuses on the issue of the leadership tendencies in teachers of educational games such as edu-larp (educational live action role-playing) and at the same time on the types of motivation of teachers. Based on a qualitative analysis of interviews with edu-larps, the areas of motivation (motivation of teachers for edu-larps and motivation of teachers for working with children) were analyzed. The research group consisted of eleven lecturers edu-larps from the EduLudus association, z. S., Aged 20-25. The study is not grounded in any theoretical opinion and the analysis of research data was performed using thematic analysis. The results of the research show that the types of motivations identified by the lecturers correspond primarily to the value and interest types of motives that are characteristic of early adulthood. The results show that the tendency to leadership of lecturers depends on the position held or the role played, which is also influenced by authority. However, in contrast to the tendency to leadership, the element of guidance appears above all.
