Chan Koonchung's novel Fat Years in the context of Chinese discourses of modernization
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá literární tvorbou čínského spisovatele Chan Koonchunga, především jeho románem The Fat Years, a povídkou "Moje vlast nesní" čínského spisovatele Han Songa. Jedná se o rozbor textů z hlediska formální výstavby, hlavních myšlenek, a především způsobu, jakým jsou v dílech reflektovány problémy čínské identity, které úzce souvisejí s problémem modernizace a nacionalismu.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the literary work of Chinese writer Chan Koonchung, in particular with his novel The Fat Years, and with a short novel "My Homeland Does Not Dream” by Chinese writer Han Song.
