Commented translation of a non-literary text from French into Czech oriented on tourism

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the commented translation of a special text from French into Czech oriented on tourism. The thesis is divided into three principal parts. The first presents our own translation of the extract of the book Le tourisme culturel by Claude Origet du Cluzeau. The second part is inended for the commentary that analyses the source text and the differences between French and Czech language, it presents problems of translation and proposes its possible solutions. The last part is made up of the glossary of terms concerning the cultural tourism. The objective of this thesis is to make an adequate and equivalent translation, to interpret and to defend the chosen translation strategy.

Notre mémoire de master intitulé La traduction commentée d'un extrait de texte touristique du français vers le tch?que s?occupe de la traduction d?un texte spécialisé. Le présent travail se compose de trois parties principales. Dans la premi?re partie, nous présentons notre propre traduction d?un extrait du livre Le tourisme culturel, écrit par Claude Origet du Cluzeau. La deuxi?me partie est destinée au commentaire dans lequel nous analysons le texte source et les différences entre la langue tch?que et française, nous présentons les probl?mes de traduction et nous nous éfforçons de proposer leurs solutions possibles. Dans la derni?re partie, nous joignons le glossaire des termes du domaine de tourisme culturel. Le but de notre travail est donc de produire une traduction adéquate et équivalente et d?interpréter et de défendre notre stratégie de traduction choisie.
