The Development of Ethics in the Atlantic-American Civilization, from Socrates to A. K. Sen

Abstract:

Téma bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na vývoj etických teorií v období od antiky po současnost. V úvodu autorka stručně popisuje a vysvětluje důležité termíny pro etiku, jako je rozdíl mezi etikou a morálkou nebo vysvětluje pojmy jako mravní zákon apod. Teoretická část je především zaměřena na etické teorie nejznámějších myslitelů v průběhu dějin. Práce postihuje jejich přínos pro teorii morálky. Praktická část se následně zaměřuje na etiku v podniku. Na začátku vysvětluje pojmy jako etický problém a etické dilema a dále rozvádí charakteristiku etiky v podniku. Následně se orientuje na etický kodex a to, proč by ho měl podnik zavést a jaký to má pro něj přínos. Na závěr praktické části je příklad, na kterém autorka uvádí příklad neetických praktik v praxi. Zaměřuje se na exekutorský stav v České republice, konkrétně pak na výplatu odměn za pracovní výkon exekutorům, která v mnohých případech enormně přesahuje výši závazku dlužníka. V tom spatřuje autorka amorální jednání.

Abstract:

Topic of the bachelor thesis focuses on the development of ethical theories in the period from antiquity to the present. In the introduction, the author briefly describes and explains important terms of ethics, as is the difference between ethics and morals, or explains concepts such as moral law, etc. The theoretical part is mainly focused on ethical theories of the most famous thinkers in history. The thesis affects their contribution to the theory of morality. The practical part will then focus on ethics in business. At the beginning explains concepts such as ethical problem and ethical dilemma and further developed the characteristics of ethics in the business. Then focuses on the Code of Ethics and why it has to be introduced to business and what benefits it has for. In conclusion of the practical part is an example in which the author gives an example of unethical practices in practice. It focuses on the state executor in the Czech Republic, namely the amount of executor fees for the implementation of execution orders, which in many cases enormously exceeds the amount of the obligation of debtor. The author sees the amoral behaviour in it.
