Electron microscopy study of Salmonella enterica interactions with eukaryotic host cells
Abstract:
This work is focused on comparison between Salmonella Enteritidis rfaC mutant and wild type and their infection's characteristics using an electron microscopy. The rfaC mutant is missing the lipopolysaccharides chains. Its lipopolysacharide contains only lipid A. This deficiency results to its inability to create a spacious endozome after the invading the cell, which is in opposition to the wild type …more
Abstract:
Táto práca je zameraná na porovnanie priebehu infekcie u Salmonella Enteritifdis rfaC mutanta a divokého kmeňa v makrofágoch pomocou elektrónovej mikroskopie. RfaC mutantovi chýbajú lipopolysacharidové reťazce. Jeho lipopolysacharid obsahuje len lipid A. Z tohto defektu vyplýva jeho neschopnosť po preniknutí do bunky vytvoriť priestornú vakuolu,na rozdiel od divokého kmeňa, ktorý vo vnútri makrofágu …more
