Comparison of human resource management in terms of different cultural environment: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (Republic of China – Taiwan) and ASUS Czech and Slovak Republic

Abstract:

Základ této diplomové práce stojí na analýze podmínek ovlivňujících řízení lidských zdrojů v podniku ASUSTek Computer Inc. (Čínská republika – Taiwan) – giganta v oboru výpočetní techniky, a porovnání s řízením lidských zdrojů v jeho dceřiné společnosti, ASUS Česká a Slovenská republika. Výstup tohoto porovnání determinuje úroveň závislosti / nezávislosti řízení lidských zdrojů dceřiné společnosti na společnosti mateřské. Také budou identifikovány změny celkového přístupu řízení lidských zdrojů, determinován rozsah těchto změn a vysvětlena jejich důležitost. Současně bude analyzováno prostředí obou společností pro určení hlavních socio-kulturních bariér a vypočten jejich dopad na podnik. Tyto informace budou podpořeny daty získanými prostřednictvím série hloubkových rozhovorů s manažery odpovědnými za řízení lidských zdrojů v ASUSTek Computer Inc., a s jejími zaměstnanci. Z výsledků mohou být posouzeny a doporučeny možné inovace v oblasti řízení lidských zdrojů v ASUSTek Computer Inc. a ASUS Česká a Slovenská republika.

Abstract:

The essence of the thesis lies in the analysis of conditions influencing human resource management in the company ASUSTek Computer Inc. (Republic of China - Taiwan) - giant in the field of computer industry and its comparison to the human resource management of its subsidiary, ASUS Czech and Slovak Republic. The outcome of this comparison will determine the level of dependence / independence of the subsidiary's human resource management on the parent company. It will also identify changes in their overall human resource management approach, determine the scope of these changes and explain their importance. Simultaneously, the environment of both companies will be analyzed to determine the main socio-cultural barriers and measure their impact on business. This information will be supplemented by data obtained through a series of in-depth interviews with managers responsible for the management of human resources in ASUSTek Computer Inc., and its employees. From these results, an assessment and recommendation can be made for possible innovations in the field of human resources management at ASUSTek Computer Inc. and ASUS Czech and Slovak Republic.
