Peripheral nerve blocks and their effect on postoperative pain in postoperative patients.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku periferní nervové blokace a její vliv na pooperační bolest. V teoretické části pojednává o historii periferní nervové blokace. Dále se zabývá indikacemi a kontraindikaci, jaké jsou výhody či nevýhody této metody. Neméně podstatnou část tvoří techniky regionálního bloku a předoperační vyšetření. Co je důležité pro monitoring u tohoto druhu anestezie a jaké se můžou vyskytnout komplikace. Pak se již práce zabývá samotnou periferní nervovou blokádou v oblasti dolní končetiny, která je pro danou práci podstatná. V závěru teoretické práce je menší pojednání o bolesti a její základní rozdělení. Empirická část obeznamuje s údaji, které byly získány pomocí kvantitativního výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the problems of the peripheral nervous blockage and its influence on post-operation pain. The theoretical part deals with the history of peripheral nervous blockage. Next it handles the indicators and contraindications, the pros and cons of these methods. A crucial part of this thesis consists of techniques of regional blocking and pre-surgical examinations. Furthermore, what is important for monitoring this type of anesthesia and what complications could occur. Then the thesis handles the peripheral nervous blockage alone in the area of the lower limbs, which is important for the given subject. There is a small dissertation about pain and their primary categorization at the end of the theoretical part. The empirical part introduces the readers with the details that were obtained due to the quantitative research investigation.
