Práce je zaměřena na dvě významné umělecké školy první poloviny 20. století; Bauhaus, německou školu fungující mezi lety 1919 - 1933 a Black Mountain College, USA, jejíž existence spadá do doby mezi lety 1933 - 1957. Předkládáno je srovnání těchto škol skrze vyučované předměty s následným popisem metodiky a pedagogiky.
