Quality of life of patients with total endoprosthesis

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce je zjistit, jak pacienti s umělou kloubní náhradou hodnotí kvalitu svého života, fyzické zdraví, duševní zdraví, sociální vztahy a životní podmínky. Metodika: Průzkum probíhal formou anonymního dotazníkového šetření podle standardizovaného dotazníku WHOQOL ? BREF, který byl doplněn o druhý dotazník zaměřený na kvalitu života pacientů před a po implantaci kloubní náhrady. Průzkumu se zúčastnilo 44 pacientů, z tohoto celkového množství bylo 23 pacientů s náhradou kyčelního kloubu a 21 pacientů s náhradou kolenního kloubu. Mezi respondenty bylo 19 mužů a 25 žen. Věková kategorie pacientů byla stanovena v rozmezí 45 ? 65 let. Výsledky: Z výsledků průzkumného šetření bylo zjištěno, že došlo ke zlepšení kvality života u pacientů po implantaci kloubní náhrady a také se stali méně závislými na pomoci druhých osob. K výraznému zlepšení došlo především v oblasti týkající se bolesti. I přesto pacienti s kloubní náhradou hodnotí svůj zdravotní stav oproti zdravé populaci jako horší. Závěr: Kvalita života u pacientů s umělou kloubní náhradou se zlepšila a dokonce se téměř vrátila na původní úroveň, kdy ještě obtíže spojené s onemocněním nosných kloubů nebyly tak výrazné. Oproti zdravé populaci však zůstává kvalita života u pacientů s kloubní náhradou stále horší.

Abstract:

Objective: The aim of the thesis is find out how patients with total endoprosthesis appraise their quality of life, physical health, psychical health, social relations and living conditions. Methodics: The research was based on an anonymous questionnaire according to standardized form WHOQOL ? BREF, which was complemented by the second form focused on quality of life of the patients before and after total endoprosthesis implantation. The research involved 44 patients, from this total number were 23 patients with total hip endoprosthesis and 21 patients with total knee endoprosthesis. Between respondents were 19 men and 25 women. Age category was set between 45 ? 65 years. Results: From the results of investigating research was found out, that the quality of life of the patients after endoprosthesis implantation was improved and they became less dependent on help of the others. A significant improvement occurred mainly in areas related to pain. Nevertheless patients with total endoprosthesis appraise their health condition as worse compared to healthy population. Conclusion: The quality of life of the patients with total endoprosthesis was improved and almost returned to its original level to the time, when issues were not so significant. Compared to the healthy population, the quality of life of patients with total endoprosthesis remains still worse.
