Abstract:

Bioremediace je aplikací biologického ošetření k odstranění kontaminantů z půdy a povrchových nebo podzemních vod. V nekontaminovaném prostředí bakterie, houby a další mikroorganismy nebo rostliny neustále degradují kontaminanty. Bioremediační technologie vedou ke stimulaci mikroorganismů k růstu a užívání kontaminantů jako zdroje potravy a energie. Podmínkou je vytvoření příznivých podmínek pro tyto mikroorganismy. To znamená poskytnout některou z kombinací: kyslík, živiny, kontrola teploty a pH. Někdy se k podpoření procesu bioremediace přidávají mikroorganismy adaptované pro degradaci specifického kontaminantu. V závislosti na zkontaminované lokalitě a druhu kontaminantu může být bioremediace šetrnější a méně nákladnější proces než alternativní řešení. Bioremediační technologie můžeme klasifikovat jako in situ nebo ex situ. In situ bioremediace zahrnuje čištění kontaminované vody přímo v lokalitě, zatímco ex situ zahrnuje odčerpání kontaminované vody z lokality, aby byla vyčištěna v bioreaktoru. Některé z příkladů bioremediačních technologií pro dekontaminaci vody jsou podporovaná bioremediace, přirozená atenuace, fytoremediace nebo používání bioreaktorů.

Abstract:

Bioremediation is the application of biological treatment to the cleanup of contaminants in the soil and surface or subsurface waters. In a non-contaminated environment, bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms or plants are constantly at work breaking down contaminants. Bioremediation techniques direct toward stimulating the microorganisms to grow and use the contaminants as a food and energy source by creating a favorable environment for the microorganisms. Generally, this means providing some combination of oxygen, nutrients and controlling the temperature and pH. Sometimes, microorganisms adapted for degradation of the specific contaminants are applied to enhance the process. Depending on the site and its contaminants, bioremediation may be safer and less expensive than alternative solutions. Generally, bioremediation technologies can be classified as in situ or ex situ. In situ water bioremediation involves treating the contaminated water at the site while ex situ involves the removal of the contaminated water to be treated in bioreactor. Some examples of bioremediation technologies for contaminated water are enhanced bioremediation, natural attenuation, fytoremediation and bioreactors.
