The usage of Spanish diminutives in fairy tales

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the frequency of Spanish diminutives in three children-directed fairy tales. Its aim is specifically to go through the relation between the presence of the diminutives and the recommended age of readers of those books. It starts by describing the word formation in Spanish, including emotionally coloured words, which in total form the whole theoretical part of this thesis. Afterwards, we proceed to the practical part in which we analyze the diminutives formally, as well as we observe the frequency of these diminutives.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výskytem španělských diminutiv v pohádkách pro děti a snaží se odhalit, zda na tento jev může mít vliv doporučený věk čtenářů těchto dětských knih. Nicméně, v prvé řadě popisujeme všeobecně slovotvorbu španělštiny, včetně tvorby slov citově zabarvených, což tvoří teoretickou část práce. Poté již následuje praktická část, kde kromě samotné četnosti výskytu zdrobnělin ve třech námi zvolených knihách, zkoumáme, o jaká diminutiva se formálně jedná.
