Abstract:

Táto záverečná práca predstavuje rozšírenie pre mobilné aplikácie s názvom Safety Widget. Toto rozšírenie rieši problém chýbajúcich bezpečnostných symbolov v mobilných aplikáciách. Mobilné aplikácie sa stávajú čoraz viac populárne, avšak bezpečnosť býva častokrát zanedbávaná. Používatelia si tiež nedostatočne uvedomujú hrozby, ktoré sa v aplikáciách môžu ukrývať. Safety Widget slúži ako dynamický prvok poskytujúci prehľad o stave zabezpečenia mobilnej aplikácie v reálnom čase. Rozšírenie sa zameriava na zvýšenie dôvery používateľov a tiež zjednodušenie mobilnej bezpečnosti, aby si každý používateľ vedel jednoducho vyhodnotiť prípadné hroziace nebezpečie. Safety Widget ponúka prispôsobiteľné vizuálne prvky, preddefinované reakcie na hrozby, podrobné súhrny bezpečnostných kontrol a robustnú podporu lokalizácie. Je napísaný pomocou nástroja Flutter a je dostupný pre platformy Android a iOS. V teoretickej časti práca zdôvodňuje výber nástroja Flutter pre vývoj a taktiež vysvetľuje základné koncepty bezpečnosti mobilných aplikácií. Opisuje tiež technológiu RASP spolu s knižnicou freeRASP, ktorá poskytuje dôkladnú kontrolu bezpečnosti aplikácie. Praktická časť popisuje implementáciu rozšírenia v nástroji Flutter. Konečným výsledkom je funkčné rozšírenie pre Flutter, ktoré možno integrovať do akejkoľvek mobilnej aplikácie napísanej pomocou tohto nástroja.

Abstract:

This thesis introduces the Safety Widget, an app add-on designed to address the absence of standardized security markers in the mobile app ecosystem. In response to the prevalent shift towards mobile-first development, the Safety Widget serves as a dynamic element providing real-time insights into the security status of a mobile application. With a focus on enhancing the trust of the users and bridging the gap between application complexity and ease of use, the widget offers customizable visual elements, predefined threat reactions, detailed security check summaries, and robust localization support. The Safety Widget is written using the Flutter framework and is available for Android and iOS. In the theoretical part, the thesis justifies the choice of Flutter for development and explains the core concepts of mobile app security. The RASP technology is described, along with freeRASP, a security library providing thorough app security audit. The practical part describes the implementation of the Safety Widget in Flutter. The final outcome is a working Flutter package that can be integrated into any Flutter mobile application.
