The possibilities and limits of the application of Taageperian predictive logic in study of the electoral competitions at the sub-state level

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce analyzuje na vzorku čtyř středoevropských postkomunistických zemí a Rakouska možnosti uplatnění prediktivní logiky popsané Reinem Taageperou, a to na substátní úrovni. Konkrétně se snaží posoudit možnosti predikcí pěti veličin charakterizujících stranické systémy na úrovni regionálních zastupitelstev uvedených zemí.

Abstract:

This Master´s thesis analyzes the possibilities of application of predictive logic described by Rein Taagepera on the sub-state level of four Central European post-communist countries and Austria. Specifically, it seeks to explore the possibilities of predictions of five variables characterizing party systems at the regional level of those countries.
