Lidské embryonální kmenové (hES) buňky jsou pluripotentní buňky schopné diferenciace do všech tří zárodečných vrstev. Tyto buňky mohou být in vitro diferencovány do požadovaných buněčných linií, které by bylo možné využít v regenerativní medicíně. Human embryonic stem cells (hESC) are pluripotent cells capable of differentiation into cells of all three germ layers. These cell can be differentiated in vitro into the desired lineages, which could be used in the field of regenerative medicine.
