Design and construction of a chest of drawers for the entrance hall

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je návrh víceúčelové komody s důrazem na propojení úložné a sedací funkce. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část sestává z historického vývoje úložného nábytku, z rešerše zaměřující se na komody a víceúčelový nábytek. Součástí teoretické části je i popis sedacího a úložného nábytku a s tím souvisejících ergonomických a antropometrických požadavků. Praktickou část tvoří návrhový a výrobní proces, kdy je kladen důraz na popis jednotlivých operací, použitých materiálů a kalkulace nákladů. Výstupem práce je technická dokumentace, vizualizace komody vložené v práci a vyrobený funkční prototyp 1:1.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis is the design of a multi-purpose chest of drawers with an emphasis on the connection of storage and seating functions. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part consists of the historical development of storage furniture, is focused on chests of drawers and multipurpose furniture. Part of the theoretical part is also a description of seating and storage furniture and its ergonomic and anthropometric requirements. The practical part consists of the design and production process, where emphasis is placed on the description of individual operations, materials used and cost calculation. The outcome of the work is technical documentation, visualization of the chest of drawers inserted in the work and produced a functional prototype 1: 1.
