Relationship between development, stand structure and yield in winter wheat

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku morfologie, fenologie a tvorby výnosu ozimé pšenice. V pokusu provedeném na Polní pokusné stanici MENDELU v Žabčicích ve vegetačním období 2020/2021 bylo hodnoceno sedm odrůd pšenice (Balitus, Bohemia, IS Conditor, RGT Sacramento, Tobak, Tonnage a Tybalt) pěstovaných na dvou pokusných stanovištích. V průběhu pokusu byly zaznamenávány aktuální makrofenologické a mikrofenologické fáze. Dále byl hodnocen počet rostlin na m2, počet klasů na m2, počet fertilních kvítků v klasu, počet zrn v klasu, podíl fertilních kvítků, ve kterých se vytvořilo zrno, výnos, sklizňový index a hmotnost tisíce zrn. Vývoj porostů byl podobný u všech pokusných variant. U většiny znaků byl zaznamenán významný vliv odrůdy i stanoviště. Nejvýnosnější byly odrůdy Tonnage a RGT Sacramento, zatímco nejnižšího výnosu dosáhla odrůda Bohemia.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on winter wheat morphology, phenology and yield formation. Seven wheat varieties (Balitus, Bohemia, IS Conditor, RGT Sacramento, Tobak, Tonnage and Tybalt) grown at two locations were evaluated in experiment performed at the Field Experimental Station MENDELU in Žabčice in the growing season 2020/2021. Actual macrophenological and microphenological phases were monitored. Furthermore, number of plants per m2, number of spikes per m2, number of fertile florets in spike, number of grains in spike, percentage of fertile florets setting grain, yield, harvest index and thousand grain weight were evaluated. Stand development was similar between variants. Significant impact of variety and location were identified for most of evaluated characters. Tonnage and RGT Sacramento were the most yielding varieties, Bohemia reached the lowest yield.
