Forest decline and forest regeneration at district Řásná LS Telč – Lesy ČR s.p.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá chřadnutím smrkových porostů a následnou obnovou lesa na revíru Řásná, Lesní správa Telč. Vyhodnocením dat z lesní hospodářské evidence bylo zjištěno, že se chřadnutí smrkových porostů začalo významněji projevovat od roku 2018. Nejvyššího objemu nahodilých těžeb (61324,17 m3) bylo dosaženo v roce 2020. Největší plocha lesa byla obnovena v roce 2021, jednalo se o plochu 52,53 ha. Nejzastoupenější dřevinou umělé obnovy je smrk ztepilý (Picea abies (L.) Karst.), jeho podíl se od roku 2015 spíše snižoval z 63,06 % v roce 2015 na 33,02 % v roce 2021 ve prospěch ostatních druhů dřevin. V přirozené obnově převládá rovněž smrk ztepilý (79,9 %), z listnatých dřevin pak bříza bělokorá (Betula pendula Roth.). Pro zhodnocení obnovy byly vybrány čtyři plochy vždy ve variantě s oplocením a bez oplocení. Na experimentálních plochách byla vytvořena síť inventarizačních plošek, na kterých byl vyhodnocovány druh dřeviny, početnost, výška, věk a poškození zvěří. Na všech plochách byla zjištěna dostatečná početnost přirozené obnovy jako předpoklad zajištění nového porostu. Nejpoškozovanější dřevinou přirozené obnovy byl jeřáb ptačí (Sorbus aucuparia L.). V praktické části práce bylo vyhotoveno doporučení pro postup při obnově vybraných porostů zasažených chřadnutím smrku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the decline of spruce stands and the subsequent restoration of the forest in the district Řásná, Lesní správa Telč. The evaluation of data from forest management records revealed that the decline of spruce stands began to manifest itself more significantly from 2018. The highest volume of incidental logging (61324,17 m3) was reached in 2020. The largest forest area was restored in 2021, it was an area 52,53 ha. The most represented artificial regeneration tree is Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.), Its share has decreased since 2015 from 63.06 % in 2015 to 33.02 % in 2021 in favor of other tree species. The natural regeneration is also dominated by Norway spruce (79,9 %), and white birch (Betula pendula Roth.) from deciduous trees. To evaluate the restoration, four areas were selected, always in the variant with fencing and without fencing. A grid of inventory plots was created on the experimental plots, on which the species of wood, abundance, height, age and game damage were evaluated. Sufficient natural regeneration was found in all areas as a prerequisite for securing new vegetation. The most damaged tree of natural regeneration was the bird crane (Sorbus aucuparia L.). In the practical part of the work, a recommendation was made for the procedure for the restoration of selected stands affected by spruce decline.
