Czech and Russian Student Slang

Abstract:

Cílem práce Český a ruský studentský slang je nahlédnout do problematiky jednoho ze sociolektů ve specifickém prostředí a na základě analýzy aktuální slovní zásoby srovnat český a ruský přístup při procesu jeho tvoření. V teoretické části je z pohledů české i ruské lingvistiky objasněno celkové chápání národního jazyka a posléze i jeho dílčích součástí, tj. spisovné formy a především pak nespisovných variant. Jsou tedy definovány termíny dialekt, interdialekt či ruské „prostorečije“ a „mat“, dále se pak práce zabývá pojmy sociolekt a sociolingvistika. V rámci sociolektů je prostřednictvím vybraných českých a ruských lingvistů představeno několik pohledů na vymezení termínů profesní mluva, argot, žargon a slang. Blíže se pak pojednává o studentském slangu, v jehož rámci jsou zmíněny i některé odlišnosti v ruském vzdělávacím systému či specifika komunikace mládeže prostřednictvím moderní technologie, dále je podán přehled lexikografických publikací svázaných s tématem studentského slangu. Teoretickou část uzavírá přehled způsobů tvoření slangových výrazů. Předmětem praktické části je analýza aktuální slangové slovní zásoby českých a ruských studentů, která byla sebrána prostřednictvím anket. Pomocí analýzy jsou v závěru porovnány tendence českého a ruského jazyka při tvoření výrazů ve studentském slangu.

Abstract:

The thesis called Czech and Russian Student Slang deals with the problems of one of the social dialects in its specific background and on the basis of actual vocabulary analysis it compares the Czech and Russian approach in the process of its creation. In the theoretical part, a general comprehension of the national language as well as its partial components, i. e. literary form and mainly nonliterary varieties, is clarified following the Czech and Russian linguistics points of view. Then, the terms like dialect, interdialect, or Russian “prostorečije” and “mat” are defined, consequently the thesis deals with the concepts of social dialect and sociolinguistics. Several attitudes to definition of the terms professional speech, argot, jargon and slang were introduced by chosen Czech and Russian linguists. Then the student slang is treated more closely, some differences in the Russian education system or specifics of youth communication via modern technology and finally the summary of the Czech and Russian lexicographical publications concerning the student slang are mentioned there as well. The theoretical part is closed up by the summary of the word-formation processes in slang. The analysis of actual slang vocabulary of Czech and Russian students, which was collected from the questionnaires, was the main subject of the practical part of the thesis. Thanks to the analysis, the tendencies of the Czech and Russian language during the formation of student slang expressions were compared.
