Carbon allocation strategies in algae exposed to stressful conditions
Abstract:
The acclimation of two green algae of order Chlamydomonadales to sub- and supra-optimal temperatures, as well as effects of light, temperature, and salinity on peculiar alga Chromera velia have been examined. The mechanism of acclimation of different algae to stressful conditions were described in terms of physiology and put to context within the ecological frame.
