Critical illness insurance

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje pojištění vážných onemocnění a analýze produktových nabídek tohoto typu krytí. Na začátku je pojednáváno o důležitosti pojištění, jako nástroje pro finanční zajištění proti nepředvídatelným událostem, a blíže se zaměřuje na pojištění vážných onemocnění. A to konkrétně v čem spočívá tento druh pojištění, historický vývoj, proces sjednání tohoto typu pojistné ochrany, jaká jsou nejčastější vážná onemocněním v České republice a jejich krátká definice. V další části se přechází na analýzu produktových nabídek pěti vybraných pojišťoven. Výsledek analýzy je zaměřen na hodnocení nejdůležitějších kritérií, které formují kvalitu tohoto druhu pojištění, a jejich následné porovnání. Na závěr je prezentován vlastní návrh pojistných podmínek, který zahrnuje doporučení k optimalizaci toho druhu pojištění.

Abstract:

Bachelor’s thesis deals with critical illness insurance and analysis of product offerings of this type of coverage. At the beginning, it discusses the importance of insurance, as a tool for financial security against unpredictable events nad focuses more closely on criticall illness insurance. Specifically, what this type of insurance entails, its historical development, the process of aranging this type of insurance coverage, the most common critical illnesses in the Czech Republic and their brief definitions. The next part moves on to analyzing the product offerings of five selected insurance companies. The result of the analysis focuses on evaluating the most important criteria that shapes the quality of this type of insurance, and their comparison. Finally, the thesis presents its own draft of insurance terms and conditions, which includes recommendations for optimizing this type of insurance.
