Capital punishment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se zabývá vysvětlením pojmu a soustředí se na pojetí tématu z hlediska historického vývoje druhů trestu smrti, a to od jeho počátků, až po tresty smrti používané v současnosti. V další části se práce zabývá vývojem trestu smrti na území bývalého Československa od jeho zavedení až po konec jeho existence v roce 1990. Dále se tato část věnuje problematice tohoto druhu sankce ve světě, s přihlédnutím k formám trestu smrti v zemích, ve kterých je stále vykonáván. V praktické části bakalářské práce došlo k vypracování dotazníku a jeho následnému vyhodnocení. Cílem dotazníku je zjistit, jaký má společnost názor na trest smrti a jaký má postoj ke zrušení trestu smrti, případně k jeho znovuzavedení.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals with explanation of the term and focuses on the concept of the topic in terms of historical development of the types of death penalties from their beginnings to the death penalties, that are used today. Next section of the thesis focuses on development of death penalties at land of Czechoslovakia from its introduction to the end of its existence in year 1990. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on problematic of this kind of penalty in the world with closer lookup to the form of the deatch penalty in the countries in which its still used. Practical part of bachelor thesis consists of questionnaire and its evaluation. The primary goal of this questionnaire is to figure out the public opinion to death penalty and its abolition, or possibly its reintroduction.
