First thinning application of stand mixtures with Douglas fir on LS Lanškroun

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá výchovou porostních směsí s douglaskou. Cílem práce je vyhodnotit nově založené plochy po prvním výchovném zásahu a na dříve založených plochách vyhodnotit a změřit základní dendrometrické parametry jako je tloušťka, výška, mortalita a štíhlostní kvocient. Součástí práce je také formulace doporučení pro pěstební praxi. Na dříve založených lokalitách na zásahových plochách se projevil vyšší průměrný tloušťkový přírůst již po prvním výchovném zásahu a příznivější štíhlostní kvocient. Na novějších plochách byly první výchovné zásahy provedeny v roce 2024 a jejich vliv bude měřitelný až v následujících letech. Zjištěné výsledky zatím vypovídají o druhové konkurenci v dosud nevychovaném porostu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the first thinning application of stand mixtures with Douglas fir. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate newly established plots after the first thinning application and to evaluate and measure basic dendrometric parameters such as thickness, height, mortality, and slenderness quotient on previously established plots. The work also includes a formulation of recommendations for silvicultural practice. The previously established sites in the plots with thinning showed a higher average thickness growth after the first thinning application and the slenderness quotient was more favourable there. In the newer plots, the first thinning applications were carried out in 2024 and their impact will be measurable in subsequent years. The results so far indicate species competition in the yet uncultivated stand.
