Abstract:

ABSTRAKTNÍCílem této práce bylo prozkoumat vývoj a strukturu výroby energie na podporu industrializace v Ghaně. Byly také prozkoumány vyhlídky a omezení výroby energie, energetického mixu a distribuce. V této práci se také projevuje vliv různých subjektů energetického průmyslu na výrobu a dodávku energie, aby stimuloval průmyslový růst a rozvoj v Ghaně. Dále se provádí hodnocení minulých i současných vládních politik zaměřených na řešení nestabilních dodávek energie v zemi. Práce uzavírá udržitelnost současné energetické strategie Ghany pro průmyslové, obchodní a domácí dodávky a spotřebu pro současnost i ve střednědobé až dlouhodobé budoucnosti. Práce byla založena hlavně na sekundárních datech a je popisná. Závěrem práce práce doporučuje vláděA. investuje do technologie a infrastruktury přenosu ztrátb. poskytuje průmyslové elektrárny oddělené od domácích a komerčních (odděluje dodávky průmyslové energie od domácí a komerční spotřeby)C. jsou vytvářeny a prosazovány průmyslové energetické účinnostid. investuje a podporuje zdroje výroby energie, jako jsou solární a bioplyn, které jsou vhodnější pro domácí a komerční subjekty, aby dodávaly průmyslu více energie z těžkých paliv a vodních zdrojů.

Abstract:

ABSTRACTThis work aimed at examining the development and structure of energy production to foster industrialization in Ghana. The work mainly based on secondary data, obtained from organizations, such as World Energy Council (WEC), and Energy Commission (EC) Ghana. The quantitative data were descriptively analysed. The prospects and constraints to energy production, energy mix and distribution were also examined. The influence of the various players of the energy industry on energy production and supply to stimulate industrial growth and development in Ghana is also brought to bear in this work. Findings from this research work showed that Ghana has enough commercially exploitable energy resources for industrial development and its economy. Furthermore, the research observed that biomass still forms a major source of energy not just for domestic users, but also for the greater part of the industrial sector, notably the informal industrial manufacturing sub-sector. Also, it is evident from the data examined that, residential or domestic energy consumption competed almost head to head with industrial consumption at the end of 2018 (Figure 18). Finally, this work found that statistical data on industrial energy demand in Ghana is lacking. Energy consumed by industry is rather assumed for this, making it difficult to know whether that is the exact quantity of energy industry needed and received from suppliers or that suppliers cannot meet industrial demand and so industry has to make do with what has been made available to it.The work concludes on the sustainability of Ghana's current energy strategy for industrial, commercial and domestic supply and consumption for both the present and in the medium to long term future. Finally, the thesis recommends that the governmenta. invests in energy transmission losses technology and infrastructureb. provides industry separate power plants from domestic and commercial ones (separates industrial energy supply from domestic and commercial consumption)c. industrial energy efficiency policies are made and enforcedd. invests in and encourages energy production sources such as solar and biogas that are more suitable for domestic and commercial entities to give more energy supply to industry from the fossil fuel and hydro sources.Keywords: energy mix, energy mix, energy supply, industrialization, renewable energy
