Application of Artificial Intelligence in Warehouses

Abstract:

This study examines the impact and potential applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Image Processing (CV) technologies on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS). AI algorithms, particularly Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Reinforcement Learning (RL), increase the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of warehouse operations, providing significant improvements in areas such as material management, product purchasing and sales, and route optimization. Image processing methods, on the other hand, strengthen warehouse automation with functions such as product identification, tracking, and increased inventory accuracy within the warehouse. This study reveals how the combination of AI and CV is transforming warehousing and inventory management and the role of these technologies in future logistics and supply chain management. It also highlights the potential of these technologies to increase autonomy and minimize human intervention in warehouse processes.
