Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit vliv fúzí a akvizic na výkonnost komerčních bank v Keni. Teorie naznačuje, že fúze a akvizice zlepšují výkonnost. Tato vylepšení vyplývají ze synergií, jako jsou úspory z rozsahu, větší tržní síla, větší úvěrová kapacita a lepší technologie. The purpose of this thesis was to assess the effect of mergers and acquisitions on the performance of commercial banks in Kenya. Theory suggests that mergers and acquisitions improve performance. The improvements result from synergies such as economies of scale, enhanced market power, greater lending capacity, and enhanced technology.
