Rod Staphylococcus zahrnuje bakteriální kmeny běžně kolonizující kůži a sliznice člověka i zvířat, ale také významné nozokomiální patogeny. V důsledku širokého využívání antibiotik k léčbě stafylokokových infekcí v klinickém i veterinárním prostředí dochází ke vzniku rezistentních kmenů. Abstract:
The genus Staphylococcus includes bacterial strains commonly colonizing skin and soft tissues of humans and animals, but also relevant nosocomial pathogens. Wide usage of antibiotics for staphylococcal infections treatment in clinical and veterinary environment causes an emergence of resistant strains.
