Platonic anabasis to knowledge in the dialogues Republic and Symposium

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit výstupy za poznáním v dialozích Ústava, Symposion a Faidros. V těchto třech dialozích se vyskytují rozdílné výstupy za poznáním, které ve své práci popisuji. V Ústavě uvádím pět stupňů, které musí duše překonat, než se dostane k nejvyššímu poznání, tedy k ideji dobra. Dalším rozebíraným dialogem je Symposion. V tomto dialogu popisuji Diotimin žebřík lásky, který jsem rozlišil do sedmi úrovní, které vedou k poznání. Tento žebřík začíná milováním jednoho těla až přechází k lásce všech krásných těl. Ve třetím stupni je to láska duševní a posledním stupněm je idea krásy. Třetím dialogem je dialog Faidros, kde se nevyskytuje žádný takto systematický výstup, ale existuje zde hybatel za poznáním, který v Ústavě chybí, i když je možné z určitého hlediska za tohoto hybatele považovat dialektiku, což vysvětluji ve své práci. V poslední kapitole, kterou jsem nazval Závěrečná komparace, srovnávám jednotlivé motivy vyskytující se v těchto třech zmíněných dialozích.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to interpret anabasis to knowledge in the dialogues Republic, Symposion and Phaedros. In these three dialogues is occuring different anabis, which I described in my thesis. In Republic I mention five levels, in which the last one is idea of good. Next dialogue is Symposion. In this dialogue is occur Diotimin ladder of love which I present seven levels on the journey to knowledge. This ladder begin lovemaking of one beauty body and go across lovemaking every beauty body. Next level is mental beauty, which is better than beauty of body and last one represents final consecration. In last dialogue Phaedros I mention nothing systematic anabasis, but here exist mover or pulse of knowledge. Anabasis to knowledge are connected with mover or pulse of knowledge, which are different in these dialogues. In dialogue Republic is not clear mover, but I think, that dialectics can fulfill nature of this mover. However, now I described this pulse in dialogues Symposion and Phaedros. In Symposion mention this mover eros. Eros is desire of beauty. Desire is connected with philosophical love, which mention desire of consistently good and this desire is mover to knowledge. In dialogue Phaedros is desire divine mania. This mania is divine, because dates from god. That is why it is divine, perfect, faultless. Just divine mania is mover to anabasis to knowledge in this dialogue. In last chapter I attempted compare anabasis to knowledge in all three dialogues or more precisely in singles motives, which are connected with this anabasis.
