Using the SEMAFOR methodology to identify barriers in the home environment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na identifikaci bariér s využitím objektivní metodiky SEMAFOR home. Teoretická část obsahuje čtyři kapitoly. Cílem práce je vymezení disability dle Mezinárodní klasifikace funkčních schopností, disability a zdraví. Druhá část vymezuje činnosti ergoterapeuta, třetí kapitola je zaměřena na roli ergoterapeuta v otázce bezbariérových úprav i na nejčastější bariéry a úpravy bytu. Poslední kapitola se zabývá objektivním a subjektivním hodnocením domácího prostředí. Do této kapitoly spadá i popis metodiky SEMAFOR home. Cílem praktické části práce je zjistit, zda je objektivní metodika SEMAFOR home vhodná pro hodnocení domácího prostředí klientů po získaném poškození mozku v chronickém stádiu. Výsledky subjektivního a objektivního dotazníku metodiky jsou zpracovány ve výzkumné části.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on identifying barriers using the objektive methodology SEMAFOR home. The theoretical part contains four parts. The first part focuses on the definitiv of disability according to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. The second part describes activities done by an occupational therapist in the home environment. The third part focuses on the role of an occupational therapist in questions related to barrier free evaluations and the most common barriers and modifications of the flat. The last part describes objective and subjective evaluation of the home environment and the methodology SEMAFOR home. This metodology was used to evaluace the home environment of five clients after acquired brain injury in chronic stage and the results were processed in the practical part of this study.
