Applicability of sentiment indicators on a selected market

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „Applicability of sentiment indicators on a selected market“ is the determination of current sentiment analysis tools and their use in practise to analyze the U.S. market represented by the S&P 500. The theoretical part includes theoretical information about sentiment indicators of technical analysis and describe the entities and conditions sentiment analysis, construction of individual indicators and chracterize theoretical meaning relevant values of individual indicators. In practical part analyzes the selected sentiment indicators and their success in the market S&P 500 for 2 years. Comparing the analyzed indicators between themselves and evaluate their strenght of notice given to the developmnet of the market S&P 500. At the end of thesis, the findings are summarized and from the results of sentiment analysis are proposed recommendations and modifications for their succesful use.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce „Porovnání úspešnosti vybraných sentiment indikátorů technické analýzy na zvoleném trhu“ je určenie aktuálnych nástrojov sentiment analýzy a ich použitie v praxi na analýze vývoja trhu zastúpeného americkým indexom S&P 500. V teoretickej časti sú zhrnuté teoretické informácie o sentiment indikátorov technickej analýzy a sú popísané subjekty, prostredie sentiment analýzy, konštrukcia jednotlivých ukazovateľov a tiež charakterizované teoretické hodnoty jednotlivých ukazovateľov. V praktickej časti sú analyzované vybrané sentiment indikátory a ich úspešnosť na trhu S&P 500 po dobu 2 rokov. Sú medzi sebou navzájom porovnávané a je hodnotená ich výpovedná sila vzhľadom na vývoj trhu S&P 500. V závere práce sú zhrnuté poznatky a z výsledkov sentiment analýzy sú navrhované odporučenia a modifikácie pre ich úspešné použitie.
