Idioms with component "eye" in the Czech national corpus

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje frazémům s komponentem oko a jejich výskytu v Českém národním korpusu. Práce má dvě části, a to část teoretickou a část analytickou. V teoretické části je podán popis frazeologie a idiomatiky jako vědní disciplíny a jejich základních jednotek. Dále je představen Český národní korpus a Slovník české frazeologie a idiomatiky. Analytická část shromažďuje poznatky o frazémech s komponentem oko na základě jejich přítomnosti v synchronních korpusech Českého národního korpusu, zaznamenává jejich frekvenci, varianty a metalingvistické informace.

Abstract:

This Master's thesis focuses on phrases with components of the word eye and its occurrence in the Czech National Corpus. The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part contains a description of phraseology and idiomatics as a disciplinary of science and its basic units. Then there is an introduction of the Czech National Corpus and the Dictionary of Czech phraseology and idiomatics. The analytical part collects the findings of phrases with the component of the word eye based on its presence in the synchronous corpuses of the Czech National corpus, registering its frequency, varieties and metalinguistic information.
