Rehabilitation strategies in rotator cuff muscle injuries in athletes

Abstract:

This thesis, starting from a broad description of the morphological, anatomical and biomechanical aspects of the shoulder as a whole with particular emphasis on the rotator cuff, deals with the main causes of injuries in athletes, analyzing the causes and risk factors, and focuses on the rehabilitation strategies used to deal with muscle injuries and allow the return to sporting activity.

Abstract:

Questa tesi, partendo da un'ampia descrizione degli aspetti morfologici, anatomici e biomeccanici della spalla nel suo complesso con particolare accento alla cuffia dei rotatori, tratta delle principali cause di infortuni negli atleti, analizzando le cause ed i fattori di rischio, e si concentra sulle strategie riabilitative utilizzate per affrontare le lesioni muscolari e consentire il ritorno all'attivit? sportiva.
