Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the role of Austrian Chancellor Metternich in the European Congresses from 1818 to 1822, since he is widely regarded as the leading diplomat of this period, who was able to take advantage of the Congress system to promote Austrian interests.
