Political processes in the 50th years in the Ostrava

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám stavem československé společnosti po druhé světové válce. Detailněji se věnuji dění na Ostravsku. Zejména politickými procesy, které tvoří klíčové téma mé práce. Popisuji jejich vznik a způsob jakým takový proces probíhal. Zabývám se velkými politickými procesy, například procesem s Miladou Horákovou a dalšími. Mimo těchto známých procesů popisuji i jiné procesy. A sice procesy s rolníky, duchovními atd. V hlavním tématem jsou procesy a represe, které probíhaly na Ostravsku. Jedná se především o protirežimní činnost Buchalovy party. Tato ilegální skupina plánovala velký celonárodní převrat, který se díky velmi brzkému odhalení ilegální skupiny příslušníky StB nekonal. Skončil odsouzením všech členů a organizátorů této party. V závěrečné kapitole se zabývám tématem, které jsem pojmenoval ?Role tisku?. V této části vysvětluji, jaký měl tisk význam a vliv na formování společnosti. Tisk jednoznačně a cíleně svou rétoriku zprostředkovával tak, aby společnost ony protirežimní akce odsoudila a nenáviděla členy, kteří se podíleli na protirežimní činnosti. Jako ukázku cituji články z dobového tisku. Cílem diplomové práce je oživit paměť a poukázat na bezpráví a hrůznost tehdejšího komunistického režimu, který vna dlouhá léta ovlivnil chod celé naší společnosti. Chtěl bych, aby si především mladí lidé, kteří budou v budoucnu řídit a formovat naši společnost, uvědomili chyby, které se tehdy staly, a nedopustili jejich opakování.

Abstract:

I have focused my Thesis on the situation in the Czechoslovak society after the Second World War. For this reason, I dedicated one chapter to some details of life in the Ostrava region. Then, I followed up political processes, which became the key theme of my Thesis. I described the origins of those processes and the manners in which they took course. I followed some high profile political processes, for example the Milada Horaková trial, as well as other ones. Apart from those well known processes, I also describe some other ones, for example trials of peasants, clergy, etc. The processes which took place in the Ostrava region form the basic theme. It is primarily about the anti-regime activities of Buchal?s gang and the other ones. That illegal gang planned a large national coup which did not happen because the gang was discovered early by the members of the State Security and it resulted with conviction of all the members of the gang. In the closing chapter I dealt with the ?Role of the Press?. There I clarified the significance and influence of the press on the formation of our society. Clearly and specifically, the press formed its rhetoric in the way to persuade the society to condemn those anti-regime actions and to hate people who participated in any anti-regime activities. As an example, I cite some articles from the period press. The aim of my Thesis is to revive the memory and to point out the injustice and horror of the former Communist regime, which significantly influenced the life of our society. I wanted to show mistakes which had happened. What is more, I would like people, and especially the young who will shape and lead our future society, to realise mistakes and avoid repetition of those mistakes and errors of the past.
