Casual education and informal learning of sports trainers focusing on the use of information technology

Abstract:

V disertační práci se zaměřujeme na využití informačních a komunikačních technologií v neformálním vzdělávání a informálním učení trenérů házené. Sběr dat jsme prováděli v České republice a ve Slovinsku. Použili jsme kombinaci kvantitativního a kvalitativního přístupu. V kvantitativní části jsme provedli dotazníkové šetření za využití dotazníku vlastní konstrukce, v kvalitativní části jsme provedli polostruktorované rozhovory s vybranými trenéry. Pomocí těchto metod jsme zjistili, že trenéři jsou spokojeni s nabídkou možností vzdělávání pomocí ICT, pomocí internetu trenéři v ČR diskutují s veřejností o sportovním tréninku, s veřejností o utkáních a ostatními trenéry o pojetí svých tréninků. Preferují však komunikovat osobně. Počítače používají nejčastěji pro přípravu na tréninkové jednotky a také pro vyhodnocování utkání. Více než polovina trenérů si vede tréninkový deník na počítači. Málo rozšířené je zatím využívání tabletů a mobilních telefonů. Trendem je zvyšování významu anglického jazyka a vhodné využívání prostředků ICT. Tyto prostředky více využívají trenéři ve Slovinsku, než v České republice.

Abstract:

In the dissertation thesis we focus on the use of information and communication technologies in non-formal education and informal learning of handball coaches. We have been collecting data in the Czech Republic and Slovenia. We used a combination of quantitative and qualitative approach. In the quantitative part we conducted a questionnaire survey using a questionnaire of our own construction, in the qualitative part we conducted semi-structured interviews with selected trainers. Using these methods, we found that coaches are satisfied with offering ICT enabled learning opportunities, Coaches in the Czech Republic are discussing by internet with the public about their training and matches and with other trainers about the concept of their training. They prefer to communicate face to face. Computers are mostly used to prepare for training units and also to evaluate matches. More than half of the coaches have a training diary on the computer. The use of tablets and mobile phones is not still widespread. The trend is to increase the importance of English and to use ICT appropriately. These resources are more used by coaches in Slovenia than in the Czech Republic.
