Financing of passenger and light commercial vehicles in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci jsem se pokusil detailně popsat historii a vývoj třech způsobů komerčního financování vozidel (finanční a operativní leasing, úvěr) především se zaměřením na financování osobních a lehkých užitkových vozidel v České republice při současném nastínění právního rámce jednotlivých produktů. Dále jsem se ve své práci věnoval vzájemným výhodám a nevýhodám těchto tří produktů a stejně tak i jejich vzájemnému porovnání. V praktické části jsem se zaměřil na vývoj trhu komerčního financování vozidel, který jsem doložil konkrétními čísly a využil jsem svých znalostí automobilového průmyslu tak, abych byl schopen odůvodnit, proč se nyní cena automobilů i jejich financování stále zvyšuje a proč tento trend bude pokračovat i v letech následujících. Toto zdražení jsem demonstroval za pomoci analýz odborníků z praxe a také na svých vlastních příkladech. V těchto příkladech jsem zohlednil vliv nedávných restrikcí Evropské unie, které se týkají přísnějších emisních limitů a měly tak negativní vliv na cenu nových automobilů. Do svých kalkulací jsem rovněž zahrnul růst základní úrokové sazby České národní banky, čímž se mi podařilo demonstrovat růst měsíčních splátek automobilů, ke kterému v posledních dvou letech při využití financování došlo.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis I tried to describe the history and development of 3 different methods of commercial vehicle financing (financial and operational leasing, credit) particularly focused on financing passenger and light commercial vehicles in the Czech Republic while outlining the legal framework of individual products. Furthermore, I have concentrated on mutual advantages and disadvantages of these methods as well as their comparison. In the practical part, I have described the development of the commercial vehicle financing market, which I demonstrated with specific figures and used my knowledge of the automotive industry to justify the reason for the constant price and financing increase as well as why this trend will continue in the following years. To demonstrate this price increase I have used not only the analyses of experts in this fields, but also my own examples in which I have taken into account the impact of recent European Union restrictions on stricter emission limits that had a negative impact on car prices. In these calculations, I have also considered the growth of basic interest rate of the Czech National Bank, which helped me demonstrate the growth of monthly car payments that have taken place over the past two years.
