Anotácia:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme algebraické teorii čísel na pozadí metody síta v číselném tělese, asymptoticky nejrychlejšího algoritmu na~rozklad velkých přirozených čísel na prvočísla. Tento algoritmus využívá aritmetiku podokruhu konečného indexu v okruhu celých čísel jistého číselného tělesa. Nejprve vybudujeme algebraickou teorii nutnou k porozumění chodu algoritmu s důrazem na neinvertibilní ideály a překážky, které pocházejí z nejednoznačnosti rozkladu. Posléze ukážeme, jak tyto překážky překonat. Součástí této práce je i diskuze samotného algoritmu a jeho praktického běhu v případě rekordní faktorizace 232-ciferného čísla RSA-768.

Abstract:

In this thesis we study the algebraic number theory in the background of the asymptotically fastest algorithm for factoring large integers into prime numbers, the number field sieve. This algorithm uses the arithmetic of a subring of finite index in the ring of integers of a certain number number field. First we build the algebraic theory necessary for understanding the workings of the algorithm and focus on noninvertible ideals and the hindrances arising with the nonuniqueness of factorization into irreducible elements. Then we show how to overcome such hindrances. This thesis also includes the exposition of the algorithm itself and its run in practice in the case of the record factorization of the 232-digit number RSA-768.
