German-German dispute over Christa Wolf's "What Remains"

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis titled "German-German dispute over Christa Wolf's 'What Remains'" is intended to clarify why and how the dispute over Christa Wolf's work started and in particular to clarify the reactions, caused by this work. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part introduces the author Christa Wolf, focusing on her political activity, which influenced the development and understanding of the disputation. The second part presents the content of "What Remains", followed by its analysis, figures, with analysis of the title and a deeper look at the context of the origin of the book, which is closely related with the last part of the thesis. It also deals with the inception and the development of the discussion called "German-German dispute", which was caused mainly because of the postponed publishing of the above mentioned book.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce nesoucí název "Deutsch-deutscher Literaturstreit um Christa Wolfs 'Was bleibt'" má za cíl osvětlit, proč a jak hádka o dílo Christy Wolfové vznikla a zejména reakce, které vyvolala. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. V první části je představena autorka Christa Wolfová, zvláště její politická činnost, která má vliv na průběh a pochopení debaty. Ve druhé části je prezentován obsah povídky "Was bleibt", následuje její analýza, postavy, rozbor jejího názvu a dále kontext vzniku díla, který úzce souvisí s částí poslední, pojednávající o vzniku a průběhu diskuse nazvané "der deutsch-deutscher Literaturstreit", která byla vyvolána především odloženým publikováním výše zmíněné povídky.
