Business specifics during the company's entry into the Canadian market with a focus on the brewing industry and the activities of CzechTrade agency

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je prozkoumání současného podnikatelského kanadského prostředí z hlediska možnosti vstupu českých vývozců piva. Práce je zaměřena také na činnost CzechTrade v Kanadě, jelikož autorka získala cenné informace na zahraniční stáži v Calgary. První kapitola hodnotí trh z pohledu PEST analýzy, která umožní získat obraz politického, ekonomického, socioekonomického a technologického stavu země. Na konci první kapitoly je i SWOT analýza, která shrnuje silné a slabé stránky Kanady. Druhá kapitola se věnuje postavení Kanady v mezinárodním obchodě. Značná část druhé a třetí kapitoly diplomové práce se zaměřuje právě na pivovarnické prostředí v Kanadě, práci agentury Czechtrade a jejímu pohledu na kanadský trh.

Abstract:

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to examine the current Canadian business environment in terms of the potential entry of Czech beer exporters. Apart from this, the thesis is also focused on the activities of CzechTrade in Canada, because the author obtained valuable information during an internship in Calgary. The first chapter evaluates the Canadian market from the point of view of PEST analysis, which allows us to get an insight into the political, economic, socio-economic, and technological state of the country. At the end of the first chapter, there is also a SWOT analysis, which summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of Canada as a country. The second chapter deals with Canada's position in international trade. A significant part of the second and third chapters of the diploma thesis focuses on the brewing industry in Canada, the activities of the CzechTrade agency, and its view of the Canadian market.
