Mamahotel as an institution of family coexistence

Abstract:

Problematika „mamahotelů“ je především sociologické téma, které se týká rodiny a poukazuje na řadu různých forem rodinného soužití.Soužití dospělých zaopatřených dětí a jejich rodičů můžeme pojmout jako sociální směnu, předpokládající vzájemný konsensus zúčastněných, snažících se vždy o maximalizaci svého zisku. Neustále se zde směňují statky a služby všeho druhu.Z hlediska psychologie můžeme členit dospělost na sociální a biologickou, jejich teoretická analýza tvoří východisko k vlastnímu výzkumnému šetření.Důležitou roli v soužití rodiny hrají vztahy mezi rodiči a jejich dětmi, s nimiž souvisí mezigenerační solidarita, k níž bychom měli být vedeni a také rozporuplná otázka péče o staré a nemohoucí rodiče.Bydlení u rodičů se může zdát jako nejpohodlnější forma bydlení, kdy i třicetiletí a starší žijí u rodičů a nemají potřebu se vázat a založit vlastní rodinu. Určitá úskalí však přináší nejen rodičům, ale i dětem. Vždy jde ale o dobrovolnou volbu obou zúčastněných stran, hlavně tedy ze strany dospělých potomků (synů), protože až na výjimky je tu vždy možnost odstěhovat se a žít si po svém. Rodiče by měli být těmi, kteří nastavují pravidla vzájemného soužití.Hlavním cílem práce je empiricky rozkrýt a vyložit základní charakteristiky tohoto soužití. K řešení použit metodologický inventář: kvalitativní výzkumná strategie v opoře obecné teoreticko-empirické metody, metoda dotazování, indukce, analýza, komparace.Výzkumné techniky: polostrukturované interview s pěti cílovými skupinami.

Abstract:

Mamahotels represent mostly a sociological topic concerning a family and referring to a lot of various forms of family coexistence.Coexistence of adult and up-kept children and their parents can be understood as a social interchange supposing mutual consensus of the participants who always try to reach the maximization of their profit. Material possessions and all kinds of services are exchanged all the time.From a psychological point of view adulthood can be divided into a social and a biological one, their theoretical analysis forms a ground for the real research.The relationship between parents and their children play an important role in family coexistence. It is related to intergeneration solidarity, which we should be guided to, and to a contradictory issue of taking care of old and infirm parents.Living at parents´ home seems to be the most comfortable form of living, sometimes even thirty-year old and older people live at their parents´ and there is no need for them to be tied down and start their own family. However this brings certain difficulties not only for the parents but also for the children. But it is always a case of a consensual choice of both participating sides, mainly from the adult descendants´ (sons´) sides, as there is always a possibility with only minor exceptions to move away and live on their own. Parents should be those who set the rules of mutual coexistence.The main aim of the work is to reveal empirically and to explain the basic characteristics of this coexistence. The following methodological inventory was used for the problem solving: the qualitative research strategy based on a general theoretical and empirical method, the interviewing method, the induction, the analysis, the comparison.The research techniques: the half-structured interview with five aim groups.
