The fibromyalgic patient: physiotherapy intervention applied to the multidisciplinary treatment program

Abstract:

As part of the issues related to physiotherapy treatment in the management of patients with Fibromyalgia, I have chosen to focus my attention on the historical evolution of this disease, the numerical and statistical data of the disorder with its related symptomatology, possible causes, central sensitization, which can be defined as a state of persistent neuronal hyperexcitability and hypersensitivity to painful stimuli, diagnostic criteria, classification into primary or secondary, and finally the strategies to be adopted in the treatment of the condition

Abstract:

Nell'ambito delle tematiche relative al trattamento fisioterapico nella gestione dei pazienti affetti da Fibromialgia, ho scelto di focalizzare la mia attenzione sull'evoluzione storica di questa malattia, i dati numerici e statistici del disturbo con la relativa sintomatologia, le possibili cause, la sensibilizzazione centrale che pu? essere definita come uno stato di ipereccitabilit? neuronale persistente e ipersensibilit? agli stimoli dolorosi, i criteri diagnostici, la classificazione in primitiva o secondaria ed infine le strategie da adottare nel trattamento della patologia.
