Attitude of teenagers to their body

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zjistit postoje středoškolaček ke svému tělu, co pro ně znamená ideál krásy ženského těla a jsou-li ochotny podstoupit nějaká opatření, aby se ideálu přiblížily. Teoretická část pojednává o vztahu člověka ke svému tělu. Věnujeme se v ní zejména se-bepojetí a sebehodnocení. Dále se zde zabýváme charakteristikou období adolescence, vli-vem médií na dospívající a ideálem krásy. V praktické části představujeme náš kvantitativní výzkum, který jsme provedli na jaře 2009. Výzkum zjišťoval postoje 150 chomutovských středoškolaček ke svému tělu. Jeho výsledky jsou znázorněny v tabulkách, grafech a jsou opatřeny slovním komentářem.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to find out what is the attitude of female high school students to their bodies, what they consider to be the ideal of beauty of women's body and if they are willing to take some steps to approximate to this ideal. The theoretic part of the thesis discuss the relationship of people to their bodies. We pay attention especially to self-concept and self-evaluation. We also deal with characteristics of adolescence, the influence of media on teenagers and the ideal of beauty. We would like to display our quantitative research in the practical part of the thesis. The research was done in spring 2009 and it examined attitudes of 150 female high school stu-dents from Chomutov to their bodies. Our findings are displayed by tables and diagrams with verbal commentary.
