Integration of a child with muscular dystrofia in the primary education.

Abstract:

Stěžejním tématem této teoreticko-výzkumné diplomové práce je integrace dítěte se svalovou dystrofií v běžné základní škole. V první části seznamuji čtenáře s teoretickými východisky souvisejícími se společným vzděláváním žáků, zejména s pojmy: integrace a inkluze ve vzdělávání, speciální vzdělávací potřeby žáků, podpůrná opatření, role asistenta pedagoga a školní zralost žáka. Dále jsou zde citována nejdůležitější znění zákonů a vyhlášek, z nichž požadavek na společné vzdělávání vyplývá. Empirická část představuje výzkum, jehož cílem je popsat integraci vybraného dítěte se svalovou dystrofií do běžné základní školy. Deskripce průběhu integrace žákyně, a okolností s tím souvisejících, je popsána v případové studii, která je výsledkem uskutečněných šetření a rozhovorů. Z případové studie vyplývá, že úspěšnost začlenění velmi úzce souvisí s mnoha faktory, přičemž za stěžejní považuji profesní kompetence učitele a asistenta pedagoga. S celou problematikou pak neodmyslitelně souvisí osobností charakteristiky dítěte a jeho předchozí socializace.

Abstract:

This theoretical-causal diploma thesis deals with the integration of a child with muscular dystrophy in the regular elementary school. The first part introduces theoretical starting points in the area of the integration inclusion, common education of pupils with special educational needs, supporting measures, the role of an assistant, teacher and pre-school readiness of a pupil. Furthermore, the most important legal acts and decrees are quoted in this part which are crucial part of this topic. The empirical part presents a survey with the aim to recognize how the child was ready to start attending the regular elementary school. Afterwards the course of the first and the second school year is described. A case study has served for this purpose as a research tool. The research results were assessed from the quality perspective. We found out that the girl was ready and mature to start attending the regular elementary school, her failure in the first class was caused by the attitude of teachers as well as by her disease and the attention deficit disorder.
