My bachelor thesis is divided into two parts- the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part deals with video games and their origin, how video games are closely connected with education and their use in the US military. Moje bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část pojednává o videohrách a jejich vzniku, o tom, jak jsou videohry úzce spojeny se vzděláváním a jejich využití v americké armádě. Další kapitoly, které se nacházejí v teoretické části, popisují videohry a jejich spolupráci s filmem, zejména s Hollywoodem.
