The Development of Natural Change of the Town of Štramberk in the Statistic Age

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zachytit demografický vývoj ve Štramberku od poloviny 19. stol. do roku 1910 a s pomocí demografické analýzy objasnit průběh jednotlivých demografických jevů ve sledovaném období. Výzkum populační reprodukce ve Štramberku spočíval ve studiu církevních matrik. Zpracování jednotlivých údajů bylo provedeno excerpcí církevních matrik Štramberka čárkovací metodou, při které byly zaznamenány jednotlivé případy sňatků, křtů a úmrtí do evidenčních archů. Zjištěná fakta byla počítačově zpracována a prostřednictvím výpočtu přibližného počtu obyvatel byly stanoveny hrubé míry sňatečnosti, porodnosti a úmrtnosti a určen jejich sezónní průběh. Výsledky demografické analýzy byly interpretovány za pomoci komparace s údaji demografické reprodukce města Kopřivnice a populačního vývoje českých zemí. Výzkum přirozené měny ve Štramberku poukázal na vzájemné působení jednotlivých faktorů, které v průběhu sledovaného období ovlivňovaly vývoj natality, nupciality a mortality a nastínily tak demografický přechod ve Štramberku, který se zde projevuje v prvním desetiletí 20. stol.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyse demographic development in Štramberk from the half of the 19th century to 1910 and to explain the process of the individual demographic phenomena in the observed period with the help of the demographic analysis. The analysis of the population reproduction was based on a thorough study of the parish registers. Processing the individual data was done by the excerpt of Štramberk parish registers by the lining method by means of which individual cases of marriages, christenings and deaths were written down into the registration sheets. Uncovered facts were processed by the computer and crude birth rate, crude mortality rate and nuptiality were assigned and their seasonal development was defined. The results of the demographic analysis were interpreted by comparing them to the data of the demographic reproduction of Kopřivnice and population development of Czech Lands. The analysis of the natural population increase in Štramberk pointed out the mutual impact of the individual factors which influenced the development of the birth rate, nuptiality and mortality rate and consequently demographic transition in Štramberk was outlined which occurred in the first decade of the 20th century.
