Abstract:

Anotace: Diplomová práce se zabývá posouzením míry vlivu epilepsie na edukační proces žáků se středně těžkým mentálním postižením a posouzením přínosu základní školy speciální těmto žákům. Teoretická část charakterizuje epilepsii a její specifika, nastiňuje etiologii a diagnostiku tohoto onemocnění, popisuje klasifikaci epileptických záchvatů, léčebné postupy a terapie. Dále dává práce nahlédnout do osobnosti jedince s epilepsií, zmiňuje jejich poznávací procesy, oblast emocí a problematiku socializace. Zabývá se legislativním rámcem, vymezujícím vzdělávání žáků se středně těžkým mentálním postižením, možnostmi vzdělávání těchto žáků, faktory, ovlivňujícími vzdělávání žáků s epilepsií a vlivem epilepsie na vzdělávací proces těchto žáků. Výzkumná část je tvořena kazuistickými studiemi čtyř žáků základní školy speciální s diagnózou středně těžké mentální postižení a epilepsie. Obsahuje metodologii, hlavní a vedlejší výzkumné otázky, charakteristiku výzkumného prostředí a výzkumného souboru, interpretace, závěry výzkumného šetření a návrhy následné intervence.

Abstract:

Abstract: The thesis is looking into the extent of how epilepsy influences the educational process of students with moderate mental disabilities and assesses the contribution of special primary schools to these pupils. The theoretical part characterises epilepsy and its specifications, outlines the etiology and diagnosis of this disease, it specifies the classification of epileptic seizures, deals with treatments and therapies and the necessary measures. Further it gives the insight into the personality of an individual with epilepsy, describes the cognitive processes, emotional area and problems of socialization. It also mentions the legislation outlining the education of students with multiplited disabilities, looks into the possibilities of education of students with a moderate mental disability, mentions the factors that affect the education of epileptic students and evaluates the impact of epilepsy on education of students with moderate mental disabilities.The practical part is built of case studies of four students of a special primary school with a diagnosis of a moderate mental disability and epilepsy. It comprises the methodology, main and minor research questions, characteristics of research environment and research complex, interpretations, conclusions of research and suggestions of possible interventions.
